IE6 and hijacked URL's

I use IE6 and recently I've noticed that some of my url's are redirected to
www.flashlightsearch.com. They tell me the URL doesn't exist, etc. But, it
is a good URL and I retry and go directly to the URL. I feel I'm being
highjacked to this search engine. How can I keep this from happening. If I
do put in an invalid URL can I select a default search engine?

Thanks.

Thanks. The Symantec site got me on the right track. I downloaded Adware
and found and deleted the little devil, MemoryMeter.

Thanks.
