I have a web page that always crashes ie6 with "internet explorer has
encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvenience. ....

AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName mshtml.dll
ModVer 6.0.2900.2802
offset 00119d5c

Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what to do with it ?

Hi, PB

Wow! You're going through a similar problem (but a different module? name).

I'm not an expert and this is not an answer, but you can try to search for
the answer so you're not sitting there. Try using the "Search Microsoft.com
for" field above and enter "mshtml.dll" and see what comes up. One of the
results I saw was at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888092, but it didn't
match the AppVer and some other info you've listed. In fact, I better do
that with my problem ("kernel32.dll") and see if there is a solution listed
to my situation.

Good luck,

Irene :D

Hi PB :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Error Message: Internet Explorer Has Encountered a Problem and Needs to
Close (Mshtml.dll)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;810887&Product=winxp

Internet Explorer or Outlook Express quits unexpectedly with an error in
Mshtml.dll
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816506

also...

Others have reported that removing their Google toolbar fixed the symptom.

Another known third-party interferer is Norton's Internet Security 2000:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...enDocument&prod=&ver=&src=&pcode=&svy=&csm=no

You may receive an error message in module Mshtml.dll and Internet Explorer
quits when you run a custom Web program in Internet Explorer 6
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888092

Hope this helps.
