Everytime I open a window out of e-mail I get "IE must quit etc. want to
notify MS of Problem? I do. I re-start anew and boom. In shut dowm I have
to manually punch the "END NOW" buttons for EABSERVR.EXE and one in lower
case jusched.exe. I always notify Mother of the Problem. But I just a know
nothing kid in a big family. I can't get rid of IE6 through the Control
Pannel's ADD DELETE PROGRAM. I downloaded a new version of IE6 from Mother
and it won't install bc a "newer version of the program' is already there...
.. I'm just about to loose my mind i'm so frustrated. CAN ANYONE HEAR ME
? Steven Malamuth (e-mail address removed) asssuming I can read it and not
have everything quit.

Hi,
Which version of Windows? But, continuing on...

First, check for malware. Download and run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the security tips and other important information on that page.

Additional information at:

More security tips at http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

What you can do about spyware and other unwanted software:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/spywarewhat.mspx

About those 2 processes you have to end:
EABSERVR.EXE controls the EasyAccess keys on your keyboard. See:
http://startup.iamnotageek.com/srch-EabServr.exe.html
jusched.exe is Sun Java's automatic update. You can disable it. See:
http://www.iamnotageek.com/a/jusched.exe.php

If the e-mail program in question is a web based program, meaning that the
link is trying to open in a new window, this may be a javascript problem.
Try these steps:
1. Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)
2. Try these two commands from Start> Run
regsvr32 vbscript.dll [enter]
regsvr32 jscript.dll [enter]
3. Then, you might try a reload of the scripting engine. Go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
for the appropriate download.
4. Is a third-party program blocking scripts, scripting, active content?
Check security programs, ad-blockers, toolbars, etc.

For "can't open a new window" problems, these links should help...

Hope this helps,
