IE6 acting up

Hi everyone,
Well the problem is this:
I surf to a site and the main page is just blank...
nothing... and it happens in other pages too on all kinds
of sites... they just don't open... sometimes if I write
a more specific address say www.blabla.com/bla it opens
that part of the site.
I installed Norton AntiVirus and scanned the computer and
2 files were deleted:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Xi.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\RPC update
patch.exe
Are they critical? And are they part of my problem?

Both of those are NOT needed as there are trojan\virus related
