Wait State

I have used the above for a long time - with Outlook Express. Suddenly, it
does not work anymore, i.e., nothing happens at all when I click on SEND
PAGE/LINK BY EMAIL.

In INTERNET OPTIONS: PROGRAMS, EMAIL points to Outlook Express. I have also
gone thru the IE 6.0 REPAIR thing, to no avail.

Also, Windows (98SE) UPDATE hasn't worked for a while now - error
0x800A138F. My current version is Q818529.

Thank you,

Wait State

MS Office is installed but NOT OUTLOOK, never has been.
MSN6 is installed. Has been for quite a while and has never stood in the way
of SEND LINK/PAGE BY EMAIL.

I checked the Windows register and everything is as the article says it
should be.

I have posted to this newsgroup.

An install of MS Office without MS Outlook can cause this problem anyway.
Either the links in my first reply (applied in order) or Q306098 listed in
my second reply are the usual fixes in this situation.

I have nothing further to suggest.[/QUOTE]

We are going around in circles. I have had MS Office, without OUTLOOK,
installed for the longest time and, until a short while ago, I have never
had a problem with SEND LINK/PAGE BY EMAIL. I think I will change to LINUX!

Restore OE to the E-mail List in Internet Options (Row 9/Right)

[Attached]

Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the
import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right clicking on the
file and selecting Edit.

Any "sudden", new changes in behavior are usually the result of either a
Trojan or hijackware, Wait.

1. Update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From now
on do both once-a-day.
