IE6.0 Runtime Error and Patch

I keep getting a "Runtime Error" message when I go to
certain pages and do you want to debug message. e.g. AT
microsoft.com and clicking on support.

This only started recently. Any ideas how to fix?

Also every time I try to download the IE patch, my
machine freezes.

I am running XP Home edition.
