IE6.0 is VERY slow

I just installed IE6.0, Had IE4.0 previosly. All programs
work fine untill I log on to the net,then my browser slows
way down. Running Win 98,200mhz,128mb ram. Any Idea's?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Thanks,tried all of that with no success. Just keeps
getting slower&slower.
