I have a windows xp PC, and all the sudden IE will not work
unless it is logged in as admin. It's public PC so I can't
have it logged in as admin. It worked yesterday. Why would
this change? And how can I change it back? I get the page
can not be displayed error. I'm using Netscape at this very
moment to get the MS website since it's own software won't
work! Ha ha. I run anit-virus and Adaware software
regularily, so it's not that. What do I do. Reinstall
IE...yikes. It's already installed. It should just
work...hello, any there in Redmond...hello...make it work.

Hi,
It's possible that malware has corrupted IE for some user accounts.
Work through the solutions ([1]CWShredder, [2]Ad-aware, [3]Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

If that routine doesn't clean things up, go to
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm Work through steps 1-3, then post a
HijackThis log for analysis (step 4.)
