Double Tap

This has become an interesting problem. I have always used a daily updated
anti-virus AVG grisoft, same for Spyware Blaster, and Spybot Search &
Destroy.
A few weeks ago this problem started, when I try to start IE either by
clicking on the task bar or desk
top I get the spinning hourglass but the program does not start. Some times
I have to try 5 -6 time to get the program to open. If I go to the Task
Manager I see in the process tab an entry for every time I tried to open the
program. If it opened on the first time I clicked then there is only one
instance of it in the process tab, if it took 7 tries then there are seven
entries. I thought my mouse was becoming defective, however I now see this
a software problem and I have no idea of what it could be.

Hi Tap,

First try disabling "Third-party browser extensions" (Advanced tab of
Internet Options). Any disruption in IE loading speed is caused by Addons
(Browser Helpers)
If this works then you will have to identify the BHO or Addon that is
causing the problem.
When IE refuses to load quickly (when you have the BHOs enabled) check the
Processes tab of the Tasks manager to see what other processes are running.
This should give you a hint as to what Addon is causing the problem or if
you can remember what software you have recently installed, it may be the
cause. Obviously you may choose to uninstall the problem software or check
with the vendor if they have an update that corrects the problem.

Regards.
