I uninstalled a Ghost Recon Patch then Ghost Recon now I can't open IE. When
I click on the icon I get the hourglass for a couple of seconds then it
disappears.

I tried system restore to the day prior the system won't allow it.

The IE folder is there and appears intact but must be missing something.

Any ideas how to restore IE?

Thanks
Carl

Have you checked Add/Remove Programs to see if Ghost Recon is listed? If
yes, have you tried removing it to see if it will restore IE's
functionality?

Carl,

Try this fix:
http://mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/IEFix.exe
and
Click Start | Run | "regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll"

[or] Repair IE from inf file:
Click [Start] [Run] and type "rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection
DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\ie.inf"
