I have an issue where I can ping a hostname from a
command line, but when I open IE, it won't load the
page. I have SP1a loaded, and it still won't resolve
issue. Can't get to windows update either. Other
services like Yahoo Instant Messenger, and AIM work fine,
so I don't believe it to be DNS related. Thoughts?

Now the Start bar won't even load. I get an error
finding IRPROPS.CPL as well when I start up. Any other
thoughts?

I have no other thoughts, because I have no idea what you may have done. If
anything. Post back with some more info.
