Greetings:
I have another IE problem, this one being so bad I have to use my Linux live
CD to ask this question. All of a sudden when I open up IE in the status bar
it says "Connecting to www.google.com... then Connected to (Google's IP) then
Done - and all I see is a blank page. If I press Refresh nothing happens. If
I press the Home button or go to access a website it either crashes or closes
the IE window, brings up the File Download window, and then pops up an error
message telling me that it is unable to download "the file". I also can't
access the Internet Options menu or the About menu. A reinstall of Windows XP
SP2 also didn't fix this. I would System Restore but my restore points are
all gone (for some unknown reason). Scanned with McAfee VirusScan and McAfee
AntiSpyware, both negative. I am able to ping websites.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
