Hi All
I think I posted this in the wrong area previously, sorry.
IE keeps showing notation "2 items remaining" in status bar. This just
started happening. How can it be adjusted to complete to "done"? Thanks for
any help.

This is actually very common, and not really a problem. You need to realize
that a single web page can contain content from many web servers. It's as if
the meal before you was put together in several different kitchens and
assembled for your pleasure on one plate.

If any of these web servers can't deliver the content to your browser, IE
will report something like "2 items remaining" in the status bar. The
problem isn't with IE - it's with the remote web server.

In practice, the remote web server that isn't delivering the goods is often
trying to send advertising to your computer. No loss, IMHO. Also, the
"items" that are missing could be nothing more than a minor graphic element,
like a fancy column divider or a colorful button. Again, no big deal.

Sometimes you can scroll through the web page and see what's missing:
Perhaps there's a blank space on the page or a box with a red 'x' where a
graphic item should be. You're really not missing much, and there's nothing
you or IE (or any other browser) can do about it anyway.

OTOH, if you notice that big chunks of a web page are missing, you can try
reloading the page. That sometimes helps, but if it doesn't - and your
system is free of viruses and other malware - it's the remote server's fault
and there really isn't anything you can do.
