IE Won't close

All of a sudden IE will not close using the X - have to
minimize and then right click and close -- Downloaded the
latest update - looked like it fixed it and then - it
want right back - to not closing --- I believe I have a
Download trojan that I cannot get rid of - Could this be
doing this to my IE? Sure could use help getting rid of
that virus as well. Tried everything on the internet
that I can find. Thanks
 
This problem is due to spywares:

Ran spyware - and we had a bunch - but it did not fix my
IE won't close problems..your thoughts?

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
 
I am having the same proble exactly...tried the spyware
downloads, but this did not resolve the problem. Have you
found a solution?
