I did all the things Microsoft's troubleshooting pages said to do before I
posted the question. I don't have a problem browsing https sites, it's NON
https site I can't browse. Some-one please help.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 80.

Are there any other possible resolutions to this problem? I'm having the
same issue, I can get to https: sites with IE, but not http: sites. It's not
a port problem, other browsers (firefox, opera) can get to http: sites just
fine.

Thanks!

I don't believe it. I've been struggling with this for a couple of weeks
with no luck and I just found a clue in another thread. It was a proxy
setting that had been set up somehow. I removed it and now it works fine.

Glad to hear you were able to resolve your problem. Good job!

Thank you very much for posting back and letting us know what worked for
