IE Window De-activates for No Reason

Randy Conley

I have a recurring problem where my IE window deactivates
for no reason while I'm surfing the web and/or typing
information onto a web page. I have to mouse click in the
window to activate it again.

My OS is Windows XP. Any thoughts?

p.s. I've run Ad-aware. It doesn't appear to be a
malware issue.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Randy :)
I have a recurring problem where my IE window deactivates
for no reason while I'm surfing the web and/or typing
information onto a web page. I have to mouse click in the
window to activate it again.

My OS is Windows XP. Any thoughts?

p.s. I've run Ad-aware. It doesn't appear to be a
malware issue.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

AdAware only cleans adware, it does not have definitions to clean all types
of spy and malware. You should also run the SpyBot (for spy-ware) and
CWShredder for malware. Have you also updated and run your antivirus?

Download, install and run the programs below and see if they help.

CWShredder: Free
http://tinyurl.com/2l9kl

SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free
http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10289035.html?tag=lst-0-2
(Update before running to insure it has the latest definitions)

IMPORTANT:
Before trying to remove spyware using the programs below, download a copy of
LSPFIX from the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection
when it is removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.

Clear TIF Files
The temporary files only holds so many files, so perhaps you might try
clearing the Temporary Internet Files and History.

Tools | Internet Options | At the Temporary Internet Files click on Settings
| View Files tab | Edit | Select All \ click Delete key, then click OK.
Click Clear History

Hope this helps.
