IE will not display ASP or ASPX pages

Instead, it just wants open or save the pages, with a message that "Some
files can harm your computer...."

This one is driving me nuts. I have never seen this one before but it has
suddenly occured on two machines in the last month.

Both machines running Windows 2000, IE6. All patches and service packs
applied. The pages display correctly with alternative browsers, but not with
IE.

I have tried reinstalling IE by altering the registry and running setup
again without success. I have searched high and low for an answer, but
haven't seen it, though I have seen a few other with similar problems and no
answers.

I suspect I will reinstall from image, but I am just struck by the oddity of
it occuring twice so recently. Reinstalling is not a big deal, but I am just
curious as to what these users may be doing to have caused this...if it's
even a user issue.

Good example....www.msn.com. Clicking the links in the left column --yields
the "Some files can harm your computer....: message.

The URL is
http://g.msn.com/0US!s5.31472_315529/9.a8881/2??cm=leftnav6

I know it's not on the server side since every other machine loads fine at
the same time, so it has to be on this machine.

Thoughts?
