What OS do you have? If it's XP you can't uninstall it,
& the only way to reinstall it from disk is to reload
Windows completely. In an earlier OS it should be
possible to do this through the control panel/install &
uninstall program.
If XP, & you do not already have it, installing the XP SP
(Service Pack)1 or SP 1a download from MS might do it.
It installs the latest version of IE. Took me about 6
hours to download & install, so think it must overwrite
the whole program. If you can, I'd try to check with MS
tech support before using one of these downloads to
correct worm.
I'm no expert on worms, but are you confident that
cleaning up IE will fix it?
