yes.once i do that, i'd like to completely delete an icon that appears in the "customize toolbar" window. HOW?
Alan Edwards said:What is the icon? If it is a standard icon, the answer is probably
"No" but if it is added later, then remove it from the Registry with
Regedit.exe
It should be a subkey of this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Export the key to a text file and paste the contents here for a second
opinion.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions\{14051603-5C4E-11d6-916B-00E02964E8E3}
Everything in it will delete when you remove it. No need to delete the
items in it first.
