Over time, my IE slows to a crawl when accessing the
Internet over my broadband connection (email and other
apps continue to work at acceptable rates). When this
happens, I notice that the Temporary Internet File Folder
size is set to "0 MB". When I attempt to reset it to
reasonable size windows indicates that the value should be
between 1 and 0. I then reboot the machine and note that
the size is back to my original setting of 20MB.
Everything works great at this point. After a few hours
or so, IE again slows to a crawl and I must reboot again
to rectify. I'm running WinXP and a Dell Inspiron 5100
Notebook. Please help.
