My friend has what appears to be install files for SP2 on
his computer. I was helping him clean up garbage & these
folders just looked so "out of place". They are located
under c:\. Someone @ another newsgroup told me they
thought they were install files for SP2. SP-2 is not
installed. How can I get rid of these folders? He also
has twice as many Uninstall Folders for Quick Fixes, etc.
in the regular place (under Windows) than I do. I don't
really understand why that should be either. I don't
know how SP2 got on his computer in the first place. I
would like to get it off, but am not sure how to go about
it. Any help very much appreciated. Thank you.

the folder names are numbers -
long numbers almost like registry keys. Each folder has
a sub folder named SP2 & in those folders are a MS
Installer & pundunt something.
