IE slow launch

Whenever IE is initially launched there is a 20 - 30 second
delay before the web page loads. Everything works ok
after, unless IE is closed and a new instance is launched.
Running Win XP with IE 6 (news version installed and all
most current patches applied). Suspect is our primary
domain controller was just updated from NT 4 Server to Win
2000 Server and is running in mixed mode.

how many fonts do you have installed?

if you have a huge number of fonts installed it takes
ages to startup IE
