I am also having the same problem as others. When I'm
browsing I get the pop-up window that says "Microsoft
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience..." The AppName
is iexplore.exe, the ModName is excjqpy.dll

Can anyone help? This is happening every few minutes now.
Thanks

I am having this same problem, but I can't actually even
browse one page. it's happening on my home page. The
modname is wininet.dll

HELP!!!!

Exact same here! Am trying workthrough with Yahoo computer
group. I was directed to this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-
US;310116
and followed all instructions to disable this problem in
my Windows 98, second edition.

Now I'm exactly gettin an old prompt box I haven't seen
for awhile that reads: ""This program has performed an
illegal operation...etc." You click close on that and a
second box appears, "An error has occurred in Internet
Explorer. Internet Explorer will now close. If you
continue to experience problems, please restart your
computer.""

I'm proud to give my Christian name and say I'd like to
see Gates hanged for some of this scum, and his lack of
toll free numbers where people can be walked through some
good solutions on interminably annoying stuff like this.

excjqpy.dll does not appear to be a Microsoft file. Can you determine where
it came from?

Random name .dll files are caused by parasites or trojan. Check it out.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

I do not know where this file came from but I'm also
getting pdf.ocx.

That one makes sense. Take a look at this page and see if anything is familiar
on it.
