Hi there,

We have a user who tried to log into a website and needs an applet
installed. Since we tell our employees not to download anything, he
clicked on 'no' and now when going back to the site, it doesn't prompt
him to download the applet again. I've checked in Manage Add Ons and
can't find a way to get the applet to download again from the site.
I've turned off all the seucrity settings and set them to LOW. Still
nothing. I've set the downloads to prompt including the active X
downloads. Nothing. Can anyone help?!?! Thank you

Hi :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Restore download prompt:

Go to Windows Explorer (Not IE) Tools>Folder Options>File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question and select it.
Click Edit (or Advanced, depending on your Windows version).
Check the box for "Confirm open after download".

also....

Go to the Security tab>select Internet icon in the window and click 'Custom
level' button.
In the list in the top window you will see Items for ActiveX controls and
Plug-ins.
Check "Prompt" for 'Download signed for ActiveX controls'
Check "Prompt" for 'Download unsigned for ActiveX controls'
Then in the window below, Reset the Security, change the security level to
Medium if it is set to anything else.
Check "Prompt" for 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins'
Click Apply
Close IE to allow changes to take effect, reopen IE and try the download
again

If still no joy, then try resetting the Internet Default settings:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Security and click the Internet Icon and click
the Default settings button, close IE and see if that helps.

Hope this helps.
