IE Security Level Problem

Hello. If you go into 'Internet Options' in Internet
Explorer, there is a tab labeled 'Security'. For some
reason, my "level" in this keeps saying '[blank]' and will
not let me set it to a default level. This is affecting
many of my programs, and is very irritating. How can I
remove ALL of Internet Explorer 6, or if possible, resolve
this problem?

Regarding the removal, Microsoft has obviously not made it
very easy. It is not listed under 'Add/Remove Progams', and
when I 'unchecked' it from Remove Programs, it's still on
my computer.

If someone can help, please email me at
(e-mail address removed). Thanks!

Chris,
See if any of the below exist on your system ......

Security Tab Restrictions:

Security_HKLM_only - forces the use of the local machine settings rather
than current user
Security_options_edit - prevents changing security zone settings and
disables the Custom Level button and security-level slider
SecChangeSettings - prevents changing Security Levels for the Internet Zone
SecAddSites - prevents adding Sites to any zone

Value Data: (0 = disable restriction, 1 = enable restriction)

---------------

Open Regedit to the following locations:
If either or both are found either delete the entry or change the value.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]
"AdvancedTab"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]
"AdvancedTab"=dword:00000001

Value Data: (0 = disable restriction, 1 = enable restriction)
Note: always Export before editing.
