I thought I had explained. I renewed subscription with Norton yesterday. Now
after downloading their software I get "Internet Explorer Script Error" with
this URL in the msg error, "file://C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\Local
Settings\Temp\NDr1E4.tmp.html" Do you want to continue running scripts? also
appears. I called Norton and got Roger in India. He had me remove the new
software, go to a Microsoft website he said because my Windows XP was not up
to date. Did that, and reinstalled the Norton 2006 Internet Security software.
His remedy did not fix problem and as I stated earlier no error msgs were
occurring until I downloaded this new software.

Get your money back from Norton/Symantec and get AV software that works.

One possibility is...

AVG Free for Windows is a free anti-virus protection tool developed by
Grisoft for home use.

Get Your AVG 7 for free!
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5

There are many more.
