IE runtime errors

I suddenly get a lot of "runtime error has occured, do you want to debug"
messeges in IE. I think it started happening after I un-installed the Avant
browser (after I tried it for a few days) but I can't be sure about it.
I have re-installed IE but it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. Is
there anything else I can try? I find these messeges very irritating,
although it doesn't actually seem to have any real effect on the webpages
that give me the error.

Turn on "Disable Script Debugging" under the Advanced tab of the
Internet Options dialog in IE.
