Hi guys, can really use your help. I'm running Windows ME on a
Pentium III Laptop with 256 RAM. Ever since I installed Firefox,
anytime I want to open Explorer, or anything that uses it, I get a
runtime error that says Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Windows\Explorer error. Everythng shuts down and I can't shut
down the computer properly. It happens anytime anythng tries to access
IE.. Any thoughts on what to do and how to fix it?

Appreciate your help.

Lynn

Hi lynn :-)

If you have the Google toolbar installed, go to Control Panel> Add/Remove
programs and uninstall it. It has caused this C++ Runtime Error on some
systems.
***************************************************
also...

Error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Hope this helps.

Sorry for the top posting, but thanks so much for the fix. Worked
like a charm. Imagine, and all that time wasted when it was such an
easy fix!

Thanks,
Lynn
