Hi,

While browsing with IE 6 i repeatedly the annoying
message: Runtime error, do you want to debug? What is
this and how can I prevent this happening in the future?

Thanks!

Hi,

Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the Advanced tab, click to select the Disable Script Debugging check box
in the Browsing section.
Uncheck Display a notification about every script error setting is displayed
instead.
Click OK, and then restart Windows.

If the script error occurs on all pages, refresh your scripting engine:

Thanks!

However sometimes due to these issues (I am not the only
one) the next page is not shown. Is this because of
incompatibility of IE6 vs webpages optimized for an
earlier IE?

No. That may not be the reason. Script engine might be missing some files or
due to a poor coding in the web page [if it is specific to a website]
