IE repopulating my favorites

I recently reformatted my hd and installed XP. I like to
set up my own favorites without all of the canned ones
that MS puts in the favorites. I delete them (at least
one dozen times)and each time I reboot, IE repopulates
the list. Is there a switch I can turn off?

Since you don't provide details of your OS or your problem, you might try
the following and see if it helps:

Disable the AutoComplete:

Tools>Internet Options>Content tab>click Autocomplete
Uncheck all the boxes for features you don't want to use
Click Apply
Then OK

This should prevent any new addresses from being added.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.
