Machine reboots as web pages try to complete....NO...it is not Spyware,
Malware or anything like that. This is a clean install of XP Home. I have
repartitioned and reformatted for a new clean install twice.
Windows updates are all in place...it does this just fine!!
Very spookie message says recovered from serious error and when I try to
look at the error log it is not where it says that it is....yes show all
folders and show all system folders are enabled.

Imp stumped ANY suggestions except spyware etc would be helpful.

TIA

Did you get the updates alltogether? Try one by one, test,
reboot and check. I had the same problem and I did it this
way. Not sure if that is going to work for you. I used
ONLY the divers from the manufacturer not the ones in
Micrsoft web page.

Spontaneous reboots could be caused by Hardware problems.
Mostly heat in your computer box.
Clean the fan in the back of your computer box and make sure that the small
fan on your motherboard for the CPU is working.

Actually you were both close...turns out that XP didn't like the NIC driver
and was crashing because of the NDIS portion of the NIC install... welcome
to Windows thanks M$

But really thanks guys you got me thinking in the right lane ;_))
