I tried to install Norton Antivirus 2007. Now when i try to get to various
websites including Microsoft.com IE takes me to Google. Any suggestions?

More info please. When you are taken to Google does the site you entered
appear in the search terms on the Google results page.
What do you mean? you 'tried' to install Norton Antivirus 2007. Did the
isntallation roll back if it did not complete?
Do you have the Google toolbar installed? (did it come with the Norton
package?)

What Windows version?
Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS
