I am experiencing a frustrating issue. When I open IE 6, sp2, a Spybot window
appears alerting me to a registry change, giving me the option to allow it or
not. If I deny the change IE goes directly to the Window Update web site.

I have created a web page with images and explanation of the issue, so
rather than saying it all over again, would you please visit this web page
for further information.

I look forward to hearing any ideas you all have...

What does it show when you open IE - Click on Tools - Internet Options -
Advanced and look down at "Automatically check for Internet Explorer
updates? If there is a check in the box - IE is behaving as it is told.

Thanks for your reply Ron...

I did go into Tools - Internet Options - > Advanced and found the listing
"Automatically check for Internet Explorer updates" and the box was NOT
checked. I was hoping that it was so I could get past this issue.

Thanks,
