IE Proxy settings through Group Policy?

Is there a way to force a client's Internet Explorer connection and proxy
settings using a Group Policy (or something) when the user logs on?

I have a laptop user who connects via wireless or Ethernet to two different
networks. When they plug into the Ethernet (home), they need special
Internet Explorer settings to access the web. On the remote network
(school), the settings are different. It's a pain to always have to switch
the settings back and forth.

How could this situation be automated?

Thanks.

hello,
yes it is possible.
open the group policy for Organizational unit in which
users are added. then go to user configuration and
Internet Explorer and there you can find the option to
set proxy.
hope this will solve your problem

I've seen these options before, but the question is, how do you go back to
the original settings once you log on to a different server, a server that
doesn't force those settings? Do they revert back to their original
settings?

hello,
Yes, they will revert back to the original settings.
abosolutely no problem about that. ok! for your
confirmation, do one thing. create 2 users and apply group
policy on one user and dont apply on another one. now
first login as the user on which the group policy was
applied. check settings. now logoff and login as another
user on which the gouppolicy was not applied. now you can
find that settings which were set in policy will not be
visible.
just test it. if satisfied then you can proceed.
all the best.
vamsi.
