I have many people logging onto an indivdual pc throughout the day (like a
cybercafe), they each have an individual log on. Until now I have gone into
Group Policy to set Internet Explorers Proxy settings (on the Client PC's) ,
so that everytime a new user logs on I don't have to set it up...however on a
different site (with the same setup), this won't work, I set it up in Group
Policy but when a new user logs on they have to setup the internet proxy
settings manually.

All the PC's are Win2k and the server is Win2k server...not sure why this is
happening? Help? Please?

I can give you a work around, but it's my no means the 'proper' way to do
it :)

Setup one user exactly how you want them. Then logout and in as the
administration, show all files, go to documents and settings for the you
you want everyone to have the correct settings. Grab the NTUSERS.DAT or
NTUSER.DAT can't remember if it has an "S". Copy that to the .default
user folder in the documents and settings overwriting the one in there.

What that will do is setup all new users with the default settings.

Another way to just setup IE is to use the Microsoft Internet Explorer
Administration Kit. or IEAK. You can do a fully customized IE with
homepage, you own little gif in the top right, and all the security and
proxy type settings you like.

Either one can be employed, the first is a haphazard way to make it work,
but i wouldnt suggest it unless you have no other means.

Cheers
