IE problem

Hi,

On a Panasonic Notebook with XP SP1 installed, I`m having some IE problems.
I beleive the program has become corrupted and wondering what is the best
way to repair it. Is it possible to download the full install of IE 6 with
its latest patchs and install it on the problem notebook? Some of the
problems is, can`t access windows update nor office update site. There is
no error, just shows up a blank screen when going to those sites.

The computer has been through a rigorous scans with various tools, Spybot,
Adaware, TrendMicro both the online site and the new tool that can be
downloaded. I had a problem with disk defrag, but was able to get that
fixed. So any solutions would be appreciative. Thank you.
