IE Plugin adware

I've tracked this thing down to software\intexp\config and
my friend says that uninstalling internet explorer and
then reinstalling should get rid of it - can anyone offer
any advice on this?
 
I don't really know but reinstalling can fix a lot of things, but backup your
favorites and email/newsgroup account settings first. I would also try the
latest version of SpyBot Search and Destroy [free] and maybe dabble with some of
the advanced tools if you feel confident doing such and check the link below for
other things to check and try and in the future. Look at their recommended
minimum recommendations for IE security settings that can save anyone a lot of
grief with their internet experience. --- Steve
