One particular website will not load on my computer. I
have uninstalled/reinstalled IE and the problem still
exists. The particular website is the only site affected.
All others load correctly. I have also reinstalled Java
(Sun version) with no improvement. XP and IE are current
on all updates. I have tried registering various DLL files
with no luck. I have lowered (temporarily)all security
settings in IE and that didn't help. I can access the
website from our other computer which is utilizing ICS
through a Linksys router. Finally, I attempted a System
Restore to a point prior to the onset of the problem and
that didn't work either.

O/S = XP Prof, SP1
Browser = IE6

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.

Hello,
I also have this error. Everyone can view it exept me. I
contacted my ISP and they can also see it.

www.deviantdreams.com <-- the site....
.

Thanks for placing the advertisement. However, I was of
the impression that these message boards were for
legitimate technical issues. You sure have an effective
way of pushing your bologna.........
