Getting Page can not be displayed - Can't find server or
DNS Error when opening IE 6.0.

I have cable modem...called the provider - pinged each
other and there were responses. Tried typing in IP
address directly into address line and still not working.
Also did an "nslookup" at the command prompt and had a
response from the site I tested so it isn't DNS error on
their end. Also flushed DNS cache.

Some history: Had cable modem, moved and re-established
it. Have had some connectivity issues with it...also all
the sudden my home page is defaulting to "Searchv"???? and
have had to select "Reset web settings" several times.
Anyway, was working yesterday morning and then all the
sudden stopped.

Any suggestions? Finding articles about editing the
Registry but want to do that as a last ditch effort.

Thanks!

Does this occur with other browsers or Internet apps? It may just be the
case that your ISP's DNS servers are flaky. (If this is the case, there are
other servers you could try.)
