IE Opens MS Update

When I open IE from my desktop icon, it opens my selected homepage as
desired. When I open IE from the Start Menu, it opens MS Update,
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us , and I
haven't been able to change that behavior. Any ideas for why it's doing
that, and how to fix? TIA.

Thanks for the link, PA. I deduced Spybot was preventing IE from displaying
my selected homepage, and was able to change it via Spybot, so everything's
working right now. Anybody got any idea how my homepage got hijacked by MS
Update in the first place?

YW. Some have found the homepage changed after installing a recent Windows
update, but it was probably that this option got checked somehow:

IE Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing > Automatically check for
IE updates
