I have had file association errors for some time now and have just had time
to resolve them.

On the whole everything is fine except for one minor point.
How do I stop IE opening in a new window every time I place an address in
the address bar?

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi,
From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> check "Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts."

Hope this helps,

Hi,
I''m not sure what else to look at. Most people report the opposite problem.

You might try (with only one IE window open) Uncheck "Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts." Close IE and restart the computer. Go back and Check
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts." Restart again.

Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:)

regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

Alternatively, since you haven't bothered disclosing an OS or version,
perhaps you can try an IE Repair (ref. KB194177)

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks

Good luck
