You definitely are missing a connection, or its identity
from within Internet Explorer. In IE, go to Tools,
Internet Options, click on the Connections tab and view
what's present in the "Dial-up and VPN Settings" area.
If there is no connection identified there, use the top
command control called Setup to go through a wizard.
Or, if your connection is already set up, use the Add
command control to have IE bring an identity to it. (Then
use the Settings button just below the Add button in
order to change the properties if needed after that.)
