After 5 weeks of fixes/re-installs/spyware removal etc, Internet Explorer 6
is still not working.
'404 page errors' , 'page cannot be found' errors, page re-directing at
random, 'crashing with errors', 're-hijacked by advertising firms
(legally?),
'red x' instead of jpg/gif images on pages, ' updates that make matters
worse...........need i go on.
I can't fault the people who try to help on this newsgroup including the
MVP's, all are doing a great Job though (no critisism here) BUT,

i found a solution.!!!

download Netscape! this works perfectly.
and version 7.1 is a lot better than before.

I just downloaded the latest copy of netscrape. I never liked it and as
long as IE was working and secured, there was no reason to use others.

Well, is this #$% keeps up with IE the MIND SET of the market place will
surely change..

Yes, the new version is better. I also have Mozilla Firebird which I am
seriously considering of adding it to our CD distribution.

Microsoft is doing itself what OTHERS can't seem to do!

I hope someone in the loop is reading all the AVALANCHE of IE page/web sites
errors that ALL seem to happen recently.

I have a suspicion Microsoft is forcing the issue of changing the BROWSER in
regards to the EOLAS Patent lawsuit. Something the W3C has help get the
USPTO to review because of A) Prior Art and B) It will force millions of IE
and Web Sites to change.

Well, the later seems to be happening already. When the USPTO director
gets involved at this level, it could only mean the patent will probably be
thrown out. Yet, Microsoft has just stated that the changes to IE will
probably continue. And why note, the LAYMAN community has taken this as a
"everyday" occurrence, "bugs are expected" and now even worst, they and
MVPs are blaming IE problems on "Viruses." It only makes you wonder, if
Microsoft's appeal of EOLAS and getting the W3C and the WEB community
involved was all a front to measure "how much of a a change in IE" can they
get away with. Other all, It is in the best interest of Microsoft that
EVERYONE upgrades to .NET and use their Thin-net Office/Web Services
software. So you BREAK the system, and with the montly patches, you
slowly add .NET functionality into the system.

Scary huh?!
