In the past few days, nothing happens when clicking on some links (on
multiple websites) and IE has frozen several times. Now, IE doesnt work at
all, I get a blank page for every website. I haven't got any specific error
messages. I can't use Windows Update to fix any problems because it requires
using IE.

I am using XP with service pack 2 and IE 6.0, I dont know what other
information you would need

If you are using @msn or @hotmail with IE there is probably nothing wrong
with your computer. MSN is changing their system from Passport ot something
called Live login and live login is simply not working a lot of places.

Mome of the time when you try to sign in you can't get passport log in
window, when you do get the log in window, you can't get the page.

I am Nanning China and have not been able to access my msn e-mail for two
weeks and it's a common problem here for people with IE & MSN. If you
complain to MSN you get a form letter advising you of lots of things you can
do to fix your computer even they probably know there is nothing wrong with
your computer.

I discovered today that I can ocassionaly get the passport sign in window by
using the following url:

https://msnialogin.passport.com/ppsecure/post.srf?id=2&svc=mail&mspp

It don't work every time, by try it. It may work for you some of the time

I'm working on someones computer that is doing the same thing. I know that
the problem is that the browser is somewhat hijacked. If you look at the
lower left part of the screen and click on a new site. Notice to see where
the url says it is going to: you might see something like www.404dns.com if
so then your browser is being redirected, because a site was visited that
installed browser tools and has taken over. I know that I can buy software to
fix the problem, but I will continue to look for answers here in the forums.
No answers yet.
