IE messed up?

In XP you can't.....
Half way down the page. The section entitled:
Windows XP and Windows XP SP1: Reinstall or repair Windows XP
To repair or reinstall Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP,
complete the following procedure

I didn't realise that system file checker had the power to reinstall
programs.
I suspect that if it finds something it doesn't like at the file level it
repairs/replaces it.

Is there a place one can get an IE6 installer as a separate SETUP.EXE or is
XP stuck with the online updater?
