Am using IE6 under Windows XP Home Edition on a new
laptop. I can get to sites, but links don't
work...nothing happens. Links work OK on one user
account (the original one); the other accounts have the
problem. A few days ago I deleted an administrator
account and added a new administrator account. Links
worked for a few days, but now the links have stopped
working again. Added a new admin account today--links
don't work.

Just discovered that the same problem happens on my other
computer. Links work ok on the original user account, but
upon creating another acccount (an admin accout), links
don't work.

At first I thought this was an IE problem, but now it
seems it might be a problem with the way Windows XP works
in creating new user accounts (at least on my 2
computers!).

Help please! Thanks.

Alan,

As MSKB 281679 suggests-- http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679 ,

1.. Quit all programs that are running.
2.. Click Start, and then click Run.
3.. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4.. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded"
message, click OK.
See if that helps you out
