IE launching itself

When I look in task manager it shows an extra iexplore.exe. When I try to
delete it, I get a message "access denied", so I use the Glarysoft process
manager to delete it. How do I find out what is launching that extra IE? I
wonder if it has anything to do with the weird pop-ups I'm getting every
day, for unregistered websites like edudown.com and insurance-paradise.info?

I've run AVG, Adaware and Spybot, and the problem won't go away.

You have a malware that none of those detected. run HijackThis;

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7,

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
