IE LANGUAGES

I have added Russian (Cyrillic) to my languages as my wife is from there. We
have a keyboard with dual characters, so we know which buttons to press. When
using Word, or most other Microsoft packages, we experience no problem with
writing in either English or Russian.
However, when browsing the internet IE will not accept another language in
its address bar or any of the areas where she could write, e.g. forums.
Can anybody suggest possible remedies? I am willing to listen to any
thoughts - even switch it off count to ten, switch it on.

There is a Windows that will do that, but it's available only to big business.
Have you considered getting a Russian computer? I don't think standing on
one leg and patting your head while rubbing your belly will work.

This seems like one of the cases that Paul Gorodyansky's site would cover.
He posts infrequently in here too so a Google Groups search may
be required to see if he has answered a similar question before.

Hmm... or just search at a higher node in the web interface.
He usually includes a link to his web site in his signature.
E.g. pick one: <w>

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...&pt=&catlist=&dglist=&ptlist=&exp=&sloc=en-us

(web interface search at Redesigned List level for
Paul cyrillic
)

Good luck

So you (or she) can write in Russian just fine in MS Word but fails to
write in IE's input area, right? See if this is your case:

By the way, unlike forums or search engine pages, one can NOT use
non-English letters in a browser's address bar - URLs are English-only
things, no Russian, no German, nothing but English.
