We have a person then when accessing a website for our company they login,
but then once in, they click on an icon. It then kicks them back to the
login page. They can't get any further. This is isolated to this particular
person. No one else is having any problems. No viruses are on this pc, also
checked for spyware, that's clear as well. No downloads except Quicken Back
Up have been done. This person doesn't want to uninstall since they paid for
the download. They have typed in the address rather than using favorites,
etc. We have exhausted all of our ideas. If someone has other ideas or
helpful information, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Which OS?

Simplest possibility would be an IE Repair (ref KB194177)

You can get some of the same effects with some key individual regsvr32
commands such as the ones listed in these articles:

<title>KB813444 - How to troubleshoot situations where you cannot
complete MSN sign-up or connect to SSL secured (128-Bit) Web sites
by using Internet Explorer in Windows XP</title>

<title>KB831429 - Windows XP stops responding when you download updates from Windows Update</title>

An alternative tack would be to trace the HTTP requests.
E.g. what is really happening when "they click on an icon"?
BTW that part of the symptom description is vague and ambiguous.
Have you watched this happening or is this just second hand
description from the end user?

OS is XP. I have not seen this myself. This is happening at another
location and we're trying to fix it over the phone. I've never had anything
like this though. Supposedly this just started to happen in the last 2
weeks. Thanks for the suggestions, we will start with these.

I've been having a similar problem and haven't found the cause yet. Have
them open a second web page and go to the internet site and try to click the
icon. This works for me, but I have no idea what caused the problem. Mine
started last week.
