When I go to a site like EBay or TraderOnLine and I click on a picture to see another picture, my browser frquently freezes. I can't get it to do anything, yet when I click on the Task Manager, it does not indicate IE is "Not responding"...it tells me it is running. I have to then click "End Now" several times to get it to close. When I open the browser again, go to a different site, I get similar performance...lock up. It also happened to me frequently on this Microsoft site when I tried to sign in with my Passport account...most frustrating...help! If you need more information, please ask me and I'll provide all I can. Thanks.

Try the following and see if it helps.

The address given below does not work.

Define "does not work". You are using the web interface to newsgroups
so the link may not appear as a link and you may have to copy and paste it
to an IE Address bar. In fact, now that it has been prefixed by >>
it doesn't appear as a clickable link even to OE users.

Is it typed in correctly??

Yes. Stripped of the >> it "works" fine. ;)

BTW in some cases linked sites may be temporarily unavailable.
Then what you can try is using a Google web search by prefixing
the URL with link: to find pages which link to the one you want.
Then click on one of the <Similar pages> links to see if you
can find one which lists the page you want. Then it is quite possible
that you will be able to click on that item's <Cached> link and thus
be able to see the page you want, even if it is not currently available.
